For most of my life, I didn’t think my creative passion could become a stable career—just something I loved on the side. I started my photography business at 17, taking senior and family portraits in my  hometown in IN. I loved it, but when it came time to choose a college and career, I put photography aside and pursued nursing. It felt like the “right” thing to do—responsible, respectable, stable.

But deep down, something always felt off.



After graduating, I went on a month-long mission trip to Croatia, and it gave me the space to pause and look at my life from a different angle. I realized I had been chasing the safe choice, not the one I felt called to. I came home, planned a wedding, married my husband Alexander, and moved to a new state—all while wrestling with this tension: do I follow the path I had chosen, or the one God placed in my heart from the start?
